1. Delete in the app
The quickest way, and it takes effect straight away:
- Open Lingify and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to the You tab and tap Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete. You'll be signed out.
2. What gets deleted, and when
Deletion is permanent and can't be undone.

| Profile: name, photos, voice intro, languages, bio, interests | Deleted immediately. You disappear from Discover and from other people's lists. |
| Chats: messages, voice messages, photos, corrections | Conversations you were part of are deleted immediately, for you and for your partners. |
| Practice: role-plays, phrasebook, streaks, XP | Deleted immediately. |
| Waves, matches, visits, blocks | Deleted immediately. |
| Backups and logs | Removed automatically within 30 days. |
| Purchase history | Apple and Google keep their own records of purchases under their policies. |
If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
3. Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel Plus or Pro. Cancel first in your iPhone settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions) or in Google Play, so you aren't charged again. See how to cancel.
4. Can't open the app?
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email support@lingify.app with the subject "Delete my account".
- Send it from the email address on your account, or tell us how you signed in (Apple, Google or email) and the name on your profile.
- We may ask one question to confirm the account is yours, so no one else can delete it.
- We delete the account within 30 days of confirming, usually much sooner, and email you when it's done.
